Supporting Strathclyde's Fire & Rescue Community
Strathclyde Fire & Rescue Family Support Trust (est 1923) is the oldest Fire & Rescue charity in the UK and is the only Fire Service charity run within a specific Fire and Rescue Service for the benefit of members and former members. The Charity changed its name from Strathclyde Widows and Orphans Fund, to SFR Family Support Trust, in December 2007.

"2010-11 was a busy year for your in-house Charity. Aside from the fund raising events that we highlight within this report, our services to support colleagues and beneficiaries at a time of need continue to be the Charity’s key role. I am proud to report that we assisted in the region of 500 colleagues and families, this year, via financial grants, respite, and information and advice services.."

I would like to thank FST for the grant you awarded me as the Charity has gone the extra mile to help. My family are very grateful for the kindness and consideration you have shown us at this difficult time.
